I’m Cydni Potter- the baker (and heart) behind Homegrōn Macarōn, a home bakery in East Peoria. I started this bakery when one of our best friends couldn’t find local macarons for her wedding. I accepted the challenge, and the rest is history! Since then, I’ve been creating a variety of baked goods—cakes, cookies, macarons, and more—for birthdays, weddings, celebrations, and everyday moments.

Baking has always been in my blood- I learned the essentials experimenting and helping my family in the kitchen. Watching them pour love and skill into their food showed me that there is more that goes into cooking than just good ingredients and following a recipe. I’ve developed my own style over the years—often improvising in the kitchen and rarely following a recipe to a T, (unless it’s one I’ve perfected and love). I thrive on creativity, whether it’s designing flavors, experimenting with textures, or crafting treats that perfectly match a theme.
